1.Is the floor waterproof?

1.) The surface of the installed composite floor is not afraid of water. Because waterproof glue has been added between its own gaps, the gaps in the floor with glue-free locks must be small, so that water can't penetrate. Use a wrung mop for daily cleaning, and avoid using a moist that is too wet.
2.) The density of the base material used in certain brands of flooring is not enough and the stability is not good. It is easy to swell and warp when exposed to moisture.
3.) If the floor is soaked in water for a long time, the floor will definitely have problems (the same is true for solid wood floors), because this is the characteristic of wooden products. Some floors claim that they are not afraid of blisters, which is actually a misunderstanding. This kind of floor has lost the characteristics of wood products. If excessive glue is added to the floor, or phenolic glue that is prohibited by the country for household use (not containing formaldehyde, but containing cancerous "benzene"), Can achieve the purpose of not afraid of blisters. But such a floor is not good.

2.Is laminate flooring environmentally friendly?

Laminate flooring originated in Europe and has a history of more than ten years. In 2004, the global sales of composite flooring exceeded 200 million square meters, making it the third largest floor material. European countries pay great attention to environmental protection. The environmental protection grade of MDF (the base material in the middle of composite floor, the main content of formaldehyde is here) is divided into E1, E2, E3 and other levels. Among them, E1 MDF can be completely exposed for indoor use, and E2 It needs to be veneered on both sides, and E3 grade needs to be sealed on all sides before it can be used indoors. Qualified composite flooring uses E1 grade density board and is veneered on both sides. When installing, the groove is filled with waterproof glue, which is equivalent to four-sided sealing. This is a completely environmentally friendly product for indoor use.
Floors imported from Europe must meet the European E1 standard. The products of regular manufacturers generally do not have the problem of environmental protection. The national standard is divided into two types: A-level and B-level. The A-level standard is close to the European E1 standard.

Qualified composite flooring is actually more environmentally friendly than solid wood flooring, because solid wood flooring requires plywood as a keel, and the plywood is distributed by merchants, and its formaldehyde content is generally seriously exceeded.

The environmental protection problem of inferior composite flooring is mainly the use of unqualified density boards and excessive formaldehyde content. Formaldehyde mainly exists in glue. A large amount of glue is used in home decoration, furniture and cabinets. In addition, formaldehyde is everywhere in our daily life. Beer, cola, onions, cigarettes, etc. all have formaldehyde. Slightly excessive formaldehyde is harmful to the human body. The impact is not significant, the human respiratory system feels uncomfortable in moderately exceeding the standard, and severe and severely exceeding the standard are more harmful to the human body. To use an analogy: there are various harmful substances in the air, but low levels have no effect on the human body. Harmful substances such as benzene (mainly in paint), VOC and radon in home decoration are more serious.

There are various harmful substances in the air, but low levels have no effect on the human body. Compared with plywood, paint, etc. in home decoration, the content of harmful substances in laminate flooring is almost negligible. If you buy a product from a regular manufacturer, you can use it with confidence, and you can move in without a ventilation period.

3.Do I need auxiliary tools to install the floor?

No need. Because of the unique smart lock technology, you can easily complete the installation without any auxiliary tools.
